Ajax lay motionless on his side for a moment. All of his limbs ached, especially where he had fallen most heavily, his right flank. The coyote found it hard to breathe; whenever he took a breath, it was shallow and almost clogged.
He winced as he moved and flexed his muscles. His vision was slightly blurry and the world seemed to spin. He had successfully brought down Mitsuki, but as she fell, he had fallen with her. She had landed right on top of him, completely knocking breath out of him and leaving the coyote slightly unconscious.
The alphess had finally rolled off of him, what seemed to be an eternity. Ajax was coming to and with that realized what state he was in. He was completely vulnerable right now -Rhune had already been badly wounded when veering Linkx away.
Ajax lifted his head up, blinking several times to clear the blood out of his eyes which was trickling from his forehead. Mitsuki was still near him, but paying no attention to the coyote plastered next to her. Instead, he noticed her attention was focused above them.
He saw flames and light bursting out and at first was not sure if it was the now slowly rising sun signaling dawn, or some fiery creature. He remembered that his alpha had seemed to be raging before and realized that it was indeed Tethys, now in his demon form.
Clenching his teeth as to not make a sound, he began making agonizingly painful moves to crawl away from his spot and get to a more sheltered area. He wanted to yelp out in pain, but he was more trained than that and knew how to stay undercover. Whimpering here and there, he finally made it to an overhang where he lay down and started grooming himself to try and lessen the pain so that he might be able to come back into battle and make a last stand.
The most pain came from his ribcage and he was sure that he'd broken a couple of bones there. As the sun rose, the area surrounding became lighter. However, the birds did not come out to chirp. No sound was heard except for growls and roars and snarls. In broad daylight, the crimson blood that had been shed in the night, hidden in the shadows, was revealed. With the light, would come the truth. The battle would soon end, but only one pack would come out victorious.

Hawkpaw turned in the direction of her mentor's voice. Once in sight, she ran up to Hitaru and stood in front of him, black tipped tail sticking up in the air and snout pointed up at him where her sea-blue eyes met his hazel eyes.
"Well I was looking for you." She took a moment to look him over, see what damage might have been done. He'd already been injured in the fight that morning, but she still saw fresh blood.
"But I was also looking for Mitsuki. I thought she was leading us but I don't see her anywhere." In fact, when looking back, the pup didn't remember seeing the alphess since the first invasion. The leader was the most important wolf in a pack, and without the alpha, the pack would be lost. But now it seemed like their own alphess was lost.
Hawkpaw flicked her tail in the direction that the rogues had fled to. "Should we follow them?" she asked. It seemed a little strange that the enemy would suddenly just flee like that, without a look back. She remembered hearing an unfamiliar howl and Hawkpaw wondered whether their leader had called them forth. The pup didn't know who this hidden leader was. He hadn't spoken out and in the battle, hadn't stood out. She wondered whether it was Onyx; but he had been killed, so was their leader now dead?

Mitsuki's chest fell and rose shallowly, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She lay on her side, her feathery wings across her face acting as a shield. She blinked, the shock of the fall having just now reached her. She closed her eyes in pain and let out a small groan, feeling her head reel from the impact of the ground. Her wings and thick fur had helped to absorb some of the impact, but she could feel a throbbing pain coursing through her body, and an actue explosion in her right back leg when she tried to move it. She let her head fall back on the ground, panting, knowing that she had broken her leg.

The Demon snarled in rage and leaped at the white wolf, red eyes glowing. It bellowed, and the fiery aura burst into visibility to mortal eyes. Tails flying behind it, the Demon raked sharp black claws at Linkx, and slashed at her with its fangs.

OOC: sorry I wan't on in like forever I had family friends and partys going on and the time I did have I was asleep so sorry I wan't on.
BIC: Kiki wander around the forest looking for her pack and something to eat. She had goten lost in the fight and was hoplessly lost. She slid silently though the undergroth like a shadow leving her scense open to prey. As she walked around a tree she heard voices and slowly folowed and crouched behind a bush to hide.

Linkximeh was looking over the new Tethys, he seemed to increase in size his one tail had branched out to create all together nine long flowing tails, ears seemed larger... Before Linkx could study the new enemy and probably the most dangerous enemy, it launched its body into the air like he had invisable wings and went to tear at her with his fangs and claws. She needed to move fast, turning her body and kicking out to try and move her sideways, wings protested and she had to duck the fangs but Tethy's claws caught her maw and with gravity's help they dug three nice scars across her cheek. Linkximeh spiraled to the side and nearly fell on a tree branch. "You!" She growled and jumped toward the demon fangs flashed as the Dire opened her maw lips raised showing bloody gums and sabers. She went to bite at Tethy's tail or claw at his back.

Hitaru turned to look at his apprentice, " Hawkpaw? You cant find Mitsuki? She has to be here somewhere... " He said turning around to stand up on all fours tail flicking upward as he surveyed the battle grounds. " The Rogues are retreating, they is really no reason to follow, but this can also mean they're getting reinforcements... Whatever your gut says Hawkpaw, what your instincts say, follow them." He said also determining what the Rogues were really doing when they fell back against the two packs forces.

The Demon grinned as he felt his claws rake down the side of Linkx's maw. The scent of blood pushed him further, and the Demon snapped again at her. Linkx managed to snag the Demon's back and he howled in fury and anger as she tore bloody gashes down his flank. He spun and his hollow eyes glowed with fiery red, tails lashing in fury. A roar ripped from his throat, enough to rumble the forest floor.

Mitsuki rolled over painfully as she heard the sounds of battle once more above her. She needed to get up and help Linkx, or Tethys would kill her! Groaning in agony, Mitsuki struggled to her paws, their numbness erupting into splitting pain as she accidentally put weight on her broken leg.

Hawkpaw looked back in the direction where the rogues had fled. They had already disappeared so she would have to decide now whether to follow them or not, so she would not lose their track.
She glanced at Huttser as he was making his speech but then closed her eyes and began to ponder the possibilities. The rogues might be trying to lead us into another trap, she thought. Or perhaps they are fleeing towards their leader. At the thought of leaders, she thought again about Mitsuki. Where could she be? Hawkpaw knew that the alphess would never abandon her pack in the middle of battle. She must have gone after something which might put an end to this whole thing. But where?
Hawkpaw re-opened her turquoise eyes and looked up into the trees. The rising sun was beginning to cast orange rays across the battlefield. It's iridescent glow made something sparkle in the tree which caught Hawkpaw's eye. Large glittering icicles decorated the tree. Hawkpaw looked into one of the largest into her reflection. At first, she didn't recognize herself. Her fur had been torn and rummaged, blood stained her once silver coat, wounds were strewn upon her body.
But as she looked at herself, the image began to waver. A mist obscured the image to show a new one. And at this, she jumped back in fear. A once normal animal had flames bursting from their body. It began to glow and grow in size, changing shape and blazing stronger. Fiery red eyes looked into her cool turquoise ones. She froze and stared as the demon-beast suddenly launched itself at her. But it was not Hawkpaw that it was attacking, but a black form.
The image flickered and returned to normal. Hawkpaw stood shivering. The pup suddenly whirled around at her mentor.
"Mitsuki is in trouble!" she yelped, "We have to follow them!" She indicated with her tail where the rogues had vanished but before Hitaru could say a word, she leapt in the pointed direction without a look back at the battlefield.

Huttser grabbed the scruff of a rogue and threw him into another. The white wolf bared his fangs at the rogue, daring him to stand up and fight. But instead, he and his friend fled from the area. As Huttser looked around, he saw that all the rogues were fleeing in one direction. The deputy knew exactly where that direction was...
Spinning around, he howled out to gather Sky Fire pack and organize them. When they were all gathered, he told them of their next actions, "Sky Fire, you have been strong, lithe, brave and loyal to your pack in this battle. But there is one more fight we must endure if we are all to see the morning light again. " At this, he looked up into the sky where it was just beginning to turn pink from dawn. "Those that are too injured, stay behind to be treated by the medic, but those who have one last bit of energy in them, who have the heart to continue one last time, follow me, follow me to victory." He turned towards Hitaru. "Our leaders are in trouble. They are by the reservoir with Tethys. But they jackal I feel has much more power then he is letting on. Do what your apprentice has done and join us. I may not be as young as you all, but I definitely have the spirit to go on for the sake of the packs."
The deputy suddenly turned around, let out a howl and sprinted into the trees.

Yamanna ran as fast as her legs would carry her. When she reached the blood-stained battlefield, she just gaped in speechlessness. She just glimpsed the last of the rogues disappearing and listened in on Huttser's speech. She noticed several mangled bodies in the clearing but dared not look at them much more in case she recognized a face. She gulped and the bitter scents of the herbs in her mouth entered her throat. The sudden shock nearly made her drop them in the mud. Finding a tall rock surrounded by ferns, she set down the bundles and finally relaxed her stretched jaws. This would act as a secluded and protected area to treat the injured. Wasting no time, she grabbed some cobweb and headed into the once crowded battlefield searching for the most injured. At the sight of Hitaru, she ran over to the deputy and set down the bundle. "Are you alright? I didn't see you come back to camp. Did you win? Where's Thunder? And where is Autumnpaw and Darkpaw?"

Mitsuki struggled to sit up, her black wings dragging on the ground beside her. Above her she could hear snarling and howling. Most likely Linkx and Tethys, facing off. The black leader pushed herself to her weary paws, feeling the searing agony of her muscles and back leg as pain shot through her body. She weakly raised her head to look skywards, knowing that she didn't have enough energy left to fight, let alone even reach the top of the cliff. She growled in frustration. There had to be something she could do. Somewhere she could go...

The Black Scarab snarled, fire flaming from the demons' paws as it leaped and dodged attacks. its red hollow orbs blazed with fury and it sc reeched its rebellion against the leader of Sky Fire Pack. "I will bring you down," he snarled, leaping at her throat.

Matsi looked around at the fray going on at the battlefield, suddenly feeling a keen interest to do something. Picking herself up she scrambled from the bushes, stumbling out from her hiding place. She meandered around the fighting wolves, noticing that many of them were fleeing. She caught the scent of blood harshly as the wolves fled past her, and as she managed to catch glimpses of their faces she realized that they were all rogues. Raising one eyebrow the pup bounded across the field, stopping as she heard the other apprentice raise a bark to the pack's deputy.

"Mitsuki is in trouble!We have to follow them!" Matsi watched as the other leaped off after the retreating rogues, more than interested., Casting one backwards glance at the battlefield, she took to her heels and darted after Hawkpaw.

A shady figure entered the territory to see a scene of battle between three beasts. One a fiery demon, another a dark female still bearing her fangs, and the last a white, winged female that apeared wounded. Crawling through the bush he made his way to the wounded one and noticed her distressed face. Silently whispering, "You there, are you alright? Mitsuki of Shadow Moon I suppose. I wish to be of service." Only then did he note the demon's fire running towards them and knocked both out of the way. Gasping he added, "My name is Snowdrift, new to these lands am I. I saw a scene of fire and could smell blood. I followed it to here. Please tell me what must be done!!" He bowed respectfully to the madian.

The silver pup followed the strong stench of the rogues, who had run through here only moments before. It was not hard to go after. She knew that their trail would lead her to where Mitsuki lay in danger. Hawkpaw had second thoughts about having run off alone, but the sound of a snapped twig alerted her to another wolf's presence. Looking back, she couldn't help but let out a grin as she saw Matsi following close behind. The pup from Sky Fire who had been her enemy that afternoon, had become her friend by midnight when they had paired up together to fight off some of the rogues. Hawkpaw had been surprised at how well of a team they made.
Slowing her pace, Hawkpaw ran alongside Matsi, "Thanks", she uttered and again increased her pace to take the lead. This new friendship warmed her heart but it was not this that filled her mind. For the second time that night, she'd had a strange vision. The idea of looking into a simple pool of water and seeing an image that was not her own, scared Hawkpaw. She wondered if the recent illness she'd had was still affecting her. But she felt perfectly fine, and the weirdest thing was, that the images actually happened.
She'd have to confront someone with this later, get it sorted out before she lost her mind. What was happening to her?

The midnight Alphess's head turned curiously to peer through the bushes at another presence. A voice whispered softly to her through the dust that had risen and she pricked her ears slightly, trying not to attract too much attention.

"You there, are you alright? Mitsuki of Shadow Moon I suppose. I wish to be of service. My name is Snowdrift, new to these lands am I. I saw a scene of fire and could smell blood. I followed it to here. Please tell me what must be done!!"

She was surprised at his straightforwardness, but took it gratefully. "Thankyou, Snowdrift," he said, nodding as he bowed. He pulled herself forward with her front paws, stumbling along with her unbroken back one. He glared at her back paw when it hit against a rock but remained silent. She reached the shelter of the bushes which Snowdrift was hiding in and let herself colapse tiredly at the edges.

"Welcome to the lands, Snowdrift," she said, smiling warmly through her masked face of pain and exhaust. "We are currently at war with the rogues: I see you've already spotted their demon leader, Tethys. If you wish to be of service, help Linkx, Alphess of Sky Fire and the rest of the pack members in taking him down. The rogues are ruthless and will stop at nothing to gain the entre forest."

Her longwinded explanation made her pant and she wondered how badly injured she really was. She let out a small whine and laid down on her side, emerald orbs watching the dust rise above them at the top of the resevoir.

Matsi smiled happily and veered off a bit to the left as Hawkpaw sped up some more. Eventually she lost sight of her new friend but she could hear snarls and snaps and knew that they were nearing the struggle. She slowed her pace as she reached the end of the trees, paws padding lightly now over the underbrush and trampling the dead leaves. The pup's orbs peered through the bushes and saw fire and blood, immediately looking for her leader.

There! Linkx's white frame was at battle with Tethys, who had called upon his demonic form, the flames licking at the forest and scorching any that came near. Her auds drew back and worried orbs narrowed as she stepped from hiding and confronted the gathered wolves. Rogues, some Shadow Moon members, and some of her pack's members.

Linkximeh glanced about at the demon, the flames licked at his body structure. Suddenly the beast flung himself barking out words although the blood that pounded in the females ears blurred them out, it took her a few moments to figure out that he was coming at her. The wolf felt her wings twitch with light pain, everything became blurred and black even though her eyes stayed open, closing them shut she felt the vibrations in the air of the Rogue leader coming and almost at her neck. Linkximeh flickered her eyes open the uneven toned blues took in the picture in a split second and opened her maw, spittle flew from her newly parted jaws and the next thing she knew was that she was on the ground chokeing on blood that bubbled in her neck. Air left the body as the demon forced her to the earth, fangs gripped tightly against her neck making her bend trying to find a way to breathe.

Suka looked down at the pair fighting, her ears perked she lifted herself onto the branch fully and looked at the sight of the female writhering underneathe the Black Scarab. She never thought of helping but she guessed that her insticts told her too help since she had already bounded to the ground and pounced on the back of the large male wether it be from pure selfishness or pity. Suka bared her ivories and dug them into the Scarab's spinal cord, the arching back started to bleed as her fangs dug although it might or might not cause any difference. She let go and pushed back in a sort of slight jump backwards, she started to bark and snarl nipping at the others heels to serve as a destraction.
